Treatment Plan Coordinator / Insurance Coordinator

Location: Annapolis, Maryland

Status: Full-Time

Compensation:

• $25.00 - $30.00 per hour (based on experience)
• Annualized Compensation: $46,800 - $56,160 (based on a 36-hour work week)

Schedule:

• Monday - Thursday: 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
• Friday: Half Day
• 36 hours per week
• No overtime required

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused Treatment Plan Coordinator / Insurance Coordinator to join our team in a fast-paced, collaborative dental environment. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless patient experience while supporting both front office operations and insurance processes.

The ideal candidate will be highly organized, comfortable communicating with patients and insurance providers, and able to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Answer incoming calls and provide exceptional patient service
• Assist with front office operations and patient flow
• Verify dental and/or medical insurance coverage
• Coordinate with third-party billing company to ensure accurate claims processing
• Manage insurance breakdowns, write-offs, and claims follow-up
• Support treatment plan presentation and financial coordination when needed
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborate with clinical and administrative team members to ensure efficiency

Qualifications

• Prior dental or medical office experience required
• Experience with insurance verification and billing processes preferred
• Strong understanding of write-offs and insurance coordination
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
• Experience with dental practice management software preferred
