Job Title: Director of Finance (Fully Remote) Company: Confidential - High-Growth, VC-Backed Consumer Brand Location: Fully Remote (U.S.) - LA-based is a plus, but absolutely not required About the Opportunity We are partnering with a rapidly scaling, highly successful consumer brand backed by top‑tier venture capital. After experiencing explosive growth and reaching the 9‑figure revenue mark in just a few short years, the company is entering a new phase of disciplined, data‑driven expansion. We are conducting an exclusive search for a highly strategic Director of Finance to report directly to the CFO. This is a rare opportunity to join an incredible leadership team, sit in the room with the C‑suite (CEO, CFO, CMO), and directly influence capital allocation and strategic decision‑making for a major player in the consumer/e‑commerce space. While this role will start as a high‑impact Individual Contributor, the immediate roadmap includes building out a team underneath this position. What You Will Do True 3-Statement Modeling: Full ownership of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow modeling. Cash Flow & Treasury: Rigorous cash flow forecasting and management (this is critical to the role). Demand & Marketing Integration: Building rolling forecasts deeply tied to marketing spend and demand planning. Inventory Modeling: Managing the financial complexities of an inventory‑centric supply chain. Executive Storytelling: Translating complex data into executive‑level financial narratives that drive strategic action. The Ideal Profile We are looking for a true "modeling athlete"—someone who deeply understands balance sheet and cash flow mechanics. (Note: Modeling depth will be directly evaluated during the interview process). Experience: 6–15 years of strategic finance experience. Industry Background: Experience in retail, apparel, consumer goods, or e‑commerce is strongly preferred. A background in an inventory‑based business carries significant weight. I-Banking, Management Consulting or similar strategic background (Big Plus): Candidates who began their careers in Investment Banking or top‑tier Management Consulting before transitioning into high‑growth startup/in‑house FP&A roles will be highly competitive. Technical Chops: Elite Excel/modeling skills. If you do not have a deep, fundamental understanding of balance sheet and cash flow mechanics, this role will not be the right fit. Attributes: Strategic, moldable, highly analytical, and ready to roll up your sleeves in a fast‑paced environment. Why This Role?
