Do you enjoy meeting new people, driving sales, and witnessing the fruits of your labor? We're looking for a dedicated director of sales to assist the hotel in reaching its sales targets. You'll be in charge of developing our sales strategy and goals, training and assessing our sales force, collaborating with sales managers, and ensuring that we create new and recurring business from various hotel sectors. • Coordination with the management team and department heads in designing and implementing sales strategies to achieve high occupancy and profitability
• Implement a strategic plan that aligns with revenue management and hotel objectives to assist the sales staff in meeting and exceeding room booking goals
• Report on sales activities for the previous and future weeks in meetings with department leaders, and prepare a monthly expense report for all hotel sales-related expenditures
• Generate new revenue by using a targeted outbound sales strategy that includes personal calls in your network, phone solicitation to local professionals, travel agencies, and other groups or corporations
• Evaluate information gathered from market data and create a plan to meet design marketing deliverables, hotel financial goals, and create an annual sales forecast

• Must have relevant experience of 5+ years as a sales professional, preferably in the hospitality field
• Must be able to use basic computer software including Microsoft Office
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) and a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required
• We prefer someone with prior hospitality experience but is not required
• Strong analytical skills, communication skills, and leadership skills

• Marriott experience preferred
