Job Title: Maintenance Electrician

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to troubleshoot, repair, install, and maintain a variety of building, mechanical, and electrical systems. This role involves working from work orders, wiring diagrams, schematics, codes, manuals, and instructions. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diagnosing and resolving equipment issues, installing and modifying equipment, and performing preventive maintenance activities.

Responsibilities

• Work from work order drawings or verbal instructions to plan equipment repair and modification needs.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose the nature of problems, perform electrical tests, disassemble equipment, replace defective parts or connections, and reassemble and test.
• Install and modify equipment in accordance with code and process requirements, pull wires, bend conduit, and ensure balanced power distribution.
• Redesign circuits as necessary, modify or prepare wiring diagrams to document changes.
• Test, repair, and replace defective parts and components such as motors, clutches, gear trains, belts, hoses, or controls.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities, check equipment function and operation, and recommend required maintenance actions.
• Direct helpers on repair projects and assist in training departmental employees.
• Repair equipment parts and structures with brazing and welding.
• Specify and order materials necessary for project completion.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CMMS system.
• Basic use of hand tools and measuring and inspecting equipment.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Basic understanding of ladder logic and PLCs.
• Ability to troubleshoot motor controls including 480v 3 phase, servos, AC/DC.
• Experience in assembly and disassembly of equipment.
• Experience with diesel motors and heavy equipment is a plus.
• Automotive experience is a plus.
• Robotics and welding experience is a plus.
• Trade certifications are a plus.

This is a Permanent position based out of St. Charles, IL.

The pay range for this position is $79310.00 - $79310.00/yr.
