Compliance & Quality Control Manager
Location: Onsite - El Paso, TX
Travel: Required, potentially extensive at times, based on project needs
About the Role
The Compliance & Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing and strengthening organizational compliance, quality assurance, and performance improvement activities across assigned operations. This role ensures adherence to applicable laws, regulations, contractual obligations, and internal standards, while supporting leadership through data-driven insights, audits, and continuous improvement initiatives.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, and experienced in managing compliance and quality frameworks in regulated or contract-driven environments.
What You'll Do
- Lead and manage the organization's compliance and quality control program, including audits, reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Ensure operations align with internal policies, quality standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Develop, maintain, and execute audit plans, quality reviews, and compliance assessments
- Analyze audit findings, performance metrics, and trends to identify risks and improvement opportunities.
- Conduct root cause analyses and support corrective and preventive action planning.
- Track, document, and assess the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve processes, controls, and outcomes.
- Support the review and development of policies, procedures, and training materials to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Maintain accurate, well-organized documentation related to audits, reviews, and compliance activities.
- Escalate compliance risks or recurring quality issues to appropriate leadership.
- Support internal and external reviews, inspections, or assessments as required
Minimum Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
- Minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in compliance, quality assurance, auditing, or program oversight
- Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting regulated programs, contracts, or operational environments
- Working knowledge of compliance monitoring, audit processes, performance metrics, and risk management
- Strong analytical, organizational, and documentation skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to travel up to 50% as needed
- Flexibility to support occasional evenings or weekends based on operational needs
- Ability to successfully complete required background and suitability reviews
- U.S. citizenship required
The Work Environment
- This is a full-time, exempt position. Work is primarily performed in a professional office or operational setting, with routine use of computers, phones, and standard office equipment. Travel and site visits may be required.
Work Schedule
- Due to the importance of this position, employees supporting this contract may be required to work extended hours including evening work, support on-call assignments, and work weekends to support time-sensitive or real-time complex services, schedule is subject to change at any time based on project needs.
- This position is considered ESSENTIAL is required to report and work during emergencies or crises, including inclement weather, natural and man-made disasters, etc.
Condition of Employment
- Complete a Drug Test.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- A valid U.S. Driver's license.
- Available to travel as necessary.
Security Clearance/Background Check Requirements
- Applicants selected will be subject to a government background investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Child Abuse/Neglect Report (CAN) or child protective services check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
- Internal background check to the satisfaction of contract requirements.
- Favorable credit check for all cleared positions
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance
Physical Demands
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees and ability to regularly travel via air, car, train, etc.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 15% - 49% of the time.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 10% - 25% of the time.
- Fingering/Grasping/Feeling: Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 75% - 100% of the time.
- Physical Dimensions: May move 20-30 lbs.
- Consider the position at hand (i.e., lifting, pushing and pulling won't be very necessary). Percentages should be modified to reflect the necessity for each position.
- Travel: Up to 50%
- Schedule: Monday-Friday business hours. Position also requires some late night, early morning, and weekend hours to complete off-hour audits.
