Salary: $4,000–$7,000/month, commensurate with experience Start Date: Immediate Graham Platner for U.S. Senate is hiring an Events Director to lead the planning and execution of campaign events across Maine. This role will ensure that events are well-organized, strategically aligned, and executed at a high level—supporting political outreach and voter engagement. This is a strong fit for someone who is highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple moving pieces in a fast-paced environment. Qualifications: Event Planning & Execution Lead planning and execution of campaign events, including town halls, political events, press events, and community engagements Develop and manage event timelines, logistics, and run-of-show documents Ensure all events are executed smoothly and at a high standard Troubleshoot issues in real time and adjust as needed Coordination & Campaign Integration Work closely with Operations, Finance, Political, Field, and Communications teams to align events with campaign priorities Coordinate scheduling and ensure alignment with the candidate’s calendar Support the candidate and senior staff in preparing for events Prepare detailed event memos, including logistics, run-of-show, key participants, and goals Ensure all materials (briefings, signage, scripts, etc.) are ready and accurate Coordinate staffing plans for each event Systems & Tracking Build and maintain backend systems to track events, logistics, and follow-ups Ensure clear communication and information flow across teams Track event outcomes and support follow-up actions Qualifications: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines Excellent communication and coordination skills Sound judgment and ability to problem-solve under pressure Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends Prior campaign, events, or operations experience preferred but not required What We’re Looking For: Someone who takes ownership and follows through A problem-solver who stays calm under pressure A team player who works well across departments Commitment to a campaign focused on expanding economic opportunity and strengthening democracy Salary range of $4,000–$7,000/month, depending on experience Health benefits available This position is covered by a collective bargaining agreement and is part of the campaign’s bargaining unit.
